KidVenture Ministry
KidVenture is a children's church ministry designed for k-5th graders.


About The Current Series: Lions and Donkeys and Ravens, Oh My!  Come with us on a wild adventure through our ZooPlosion series.  In this series the animals are the main characters.  We will learn through the eyes of the animals about how God provides and then we will put on our imagination hats as see "what might have happened" if things turned out differently.  Zooplosion is an 8 week interactive series that will help children learn that things work out best when we follow God's plan.


 

LESSON 1: May 30th

  • Lesson Goal: The children will learn that God has given us everything and we should take care of what God has given us.
  • Main Point: God Provided Our World and We Need To Take Care Of It!
  • Bible Story: The animals come to Adam to get named (Genesis 1).
  • Bible Verse: Genesis 2:15
    "The Lord God placed the man in the Garden of Eden to tend and watch over it." (NLT)

LESSON 2: June 6th

  • Lesson Goal: The children will learn that God will provide for us when we are obedient.
  • Main Point: I Should Trust God To Provide For Me When I Obey Him!
  • Bible Story: The raven's bring food to Elijah (1 Kings 17).
  • Bible Verse: Philippians 4:19
    "And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus." (NLT)

LESSON 3: June 13th

  • Lesson Goal: The children will learn that God will give us the courage to do the things He wants us to do and we should not be afraid to obey Him.
  • Main Point: God Provides Courage To Live For Him!
  • Bible Story: Daniel and the Lion's Den (Daniel 6).
  • Bible Verse: Psalm 27:1
    "The Lord is my light and my salvation - so why should I be afraid? The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger, so why should I tremble?" (NLT

LESSON 4: June 20th

  • Lesson Goal: The children will learn that God provides warnings so we can make the best choice and it is our job to be watchful and obey those warnings.
  • Main Point: God Provides Warnings So We Can Make The Best Choice!
  • Bible Story: Baalam's Donkey (Numbers 22)
  • Bible Verse: Proverbs 3:5-6
    "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek His will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.

LESSON 5: June 27th

  • Lesson Goal: The children will learn that God provided Jesus to lead and guide us. If we follow Him, we will have the best life.
  • Main Point: God Provided Jesus to Lead And Guide Us!
  • Bible Story: Jesus as the Good Shepherd, we are the sheep (John 10:1-7)
  • Bible Verse: John 10:10
    "The thief's purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying life." (NLT)

LESSON 6: July 4th

  • Lesson Goal: The children will learn that God provides salvation for everyone through His Son, Jesus, and that Jesus is the only way to heaven.
  • Main Point: Salvation Only Comes From God!
  • Bible Story: The story of salvation through the serpent, sheep, dove, donkey (Luke 2, 3, 19, John 14).
  • Bible Verse: John 14:6
    "Jesus told him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the father except through me.'" (NLT)

LESSON 7: July 11th

  • Lesson Goal: The children will learn that it is important to apologize and ask for forgiveness from people and God.
  • Main Point: God Provides Forgiveness When We Ask For It!
  • Bible Story: The Pig and the Prodigal Son (Luke 15).
  • Bible Verse: 1 John 1:9
    "But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness." (NLT)

LESSON 8: July 18th

  • Lesson Goal: The children will learn that God has a plan for our lives. They will also learn that it is our job to be obedient and constantly seek His will.
  • Main Point: God Provides A Plan For Our Future!
  • Bible Story: Noah's Ark (Genesis 6).
  • Bible Verse: Jeremiah 29:11
    "'For I know the plans I have for you,' says the Lord. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'" (NLT)
